Creative design agency Sharpener partners with iconic beverage brand Jimmy’s Cocktails for a new branding

Bombay : Sharpener, a Mumbai-based creative design agency has teamed up with iconic beverage brand Jimmy’s Cocktails for a rebranding. Through this commitment, Sharpener will support Jimmy’s Cocktails by bringing out the qualities of the brand in their packaging and design.
Commenting on the engagement, Hetal Ajmera and Bianca Bianca D’sa Vincent, founders, Sharpener, said “Jimmy’s Cocktails is an iconic beverage brand helping Indians #BringTheBarHome. A cocktail is not just a drink but rather a journey. With their flavors and aromas, the ingredients that go together well engulf all your senses. You step into the rabbit hole and through the looking glass, in a whimsical and fantastic place. Jimmy’s Cocktails took that experience, made it a thousand times better and bottled it. However, even though their products were distinct, their identity required a new and unique approach that would give the brand a higher recall value. Sharpener stepped in and decided to turn the real into surreal and bring out all these branded qualities in their packaging and design.
Three key factors were taken into account – The first was the authenticity and originality of their product. To represent this, the team chose unique aesthetic elements and designed them in a way that made the company identifiable. Second, the color scheme Sharpener chose had to be bold and fun. The design agency chose a combination of tropical tones and jewelry, pairing them with bold letters. The elements that make a cocktail were the inspiration behind – Verdant leaves, chartreuse lemons, cardinal tomatoes, magenta berries. Pour it in and mix it up, and you get a blast of hues when you #BringTheBarHome. This led to the mix-and-match aspect of it all. By using many artistic instruments and creating a collage of dreamlike and playful images, the essence of a cocktail was brought to light. The colors gave spirit to the form, ensuring that the beauty caught the eye of the beholder. Jimmy’s Cocktails is one of a kind, and that translates into a mix of lavish artistic styles and pops of color, paired with a contrast of negative space and minimalist fonts. Their products set them apart, and now their visuals too!
