Creative design

Metropolis launches the Planet Positive Awards program to recognize the most creative design projects and products that benefit people and the planet.

Sustainable architecture and interior design projects that have been completed in the past three years will be judged by six regional expert juries, while sustainable products launched in the past two years will be judged by a panel of renowned designers. To be eligible, all projects and products must aim for or have obtained sustainability certifications, setting a benchmark for environmentally and socially responsible practice.

Submissions are open on April 1st at metropolismag.com/planetpositive. The winners will be recognized at a virtual awards ceremony at September 2021 and published in the November / December issue of Metropolis and on metropolismag.com.

Metropolis advocates sustainability in the broadest sense, encompassing fair, healthy and resilient design as well as reductions in carbon emissions and toxic waste. The winners of the Planet Positive Award will embody these ideals and prove to be an example for many other architects, designers and manufacturers interested in building a better future for all of us.
