Space enthusiasts can enter the CubeSat creative design competition until October 31

Space enthusiasts can enter the CubeSat Creative Design Competition as part of the Belt and Road Teenager Space Maker Camp hosted by Pakistan and China Collaborative Efforts with a special focus on exploring the technology paradigm CubeSat and applications for socio-economic development.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – October 29, 2021): Space enthusiasts can enter the CubeSat Creative Design Competition as part of the Belt and Road Teenager Space Maker Camp organized by the collaborative efforts of Pakistan and the China with particular emphasis on exploring the paradigm of CubeSat technology and applications for socio-economic development.

The camp is organized by the China Science and Technology Association (CAST) and the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Pakistan Ministry of Science and Technology, the National GIS Application Center and Space (NCGSA), the Institute for Space Technology. , Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) and ECO Science Foundation.

According to a PSF official, applicants must design a CubeSat model that has both appropriate functions and an attractive look, focused on solving environmental, social and economic development issues that are of major concern to the international community. .

Participants aged 12 to 18 can register individually or as a team. Each team should not consist of more than three members, and there should be at least one instructor who should be an adult over the age of 18.

Drawing up the three phases of the Space Maker Camp, the manager pointed out that in the first phase, participants will develop a CubeSat according to the instructions and learning materials available at the following link tinyurl.com/ymh5nvk6.

Regarding the second phase, the official said, the NCGSA will organize an online quiz for the selection of the top 30 participants to participate face to face to all Pakistan Space Makers Camp to design, develop and launch the CubeSat while the teams will be developed and supervised by the experts. In the third phase, a face-to-face competition will take place for the design of the satellites, the official added.
